It provides you with the 3x3 crafting grid, which you need for almost any recipe. When placed on the ground, you just right-click the crafting table to bring up the crafting grid.
Furnaces or sometimes called ovens, can be used to smelt things and cook food. For example it can smelt iron ores into iron. To use, place the furnace somewhere and right-click it. You will need fuel to heat up the furnace. Wood, coal and other things like that, can be used as fuel. Sticks are used in various crafting recipes, for example weapons, tools, torches and signs. Two wood planks gives you four sticks. Torches creates a permanent light when placed on walls or other suitable surfaces.
Light keeps evil mobs from spawning. Wood planks are crafted from wood. Wood planks are very common, because of the high occurrence of wood in any biome. Wood planks are used in many crafting recipes. As with wood, wood planks catch fire very easily. Recipe Ingredients Axes Used to chop wood and pumpkins, faster than by hand. Used to carry water, lava or milk.
Water and lava can be gathered from water or lava blocks, that are not running.
Milk can be obtained by clicking on a cow with the bucket. Used while riding pigs to control them. The direction the carrot dangles is the direction the pig will go.
The pig will run faster if the player right clicks while holding the stick. Clocks are items that display the current in-game time. The compass will always point to your original spawn point.
Used to catch fish. You can also use them to grab movable objects and drag them towards yourself. Rods have 33 uses durability. Used to create fire. Can set blocks or creatures on fire. Tools used to obtain wool from sheeps, leaves from trees, Red Mushrooms from Mushrooms or to get string from cobwebs. Used to effectively dig sand, dirt, gravel, snow and clay. Required to dig snowballs.
Recipe Ingredients Arrow Arrows can be used as ammunition for a bow or dispenser. Deals damage to players and creatures when they hit. Ranged weapon used to fire arrows. To use the bow you must have arrows in your inventory. The repaired shield has no pattern. Applies the banner pattern to the shield. The banner is consumed. The shield must have no preexisting patterns. Repairs the shield to full durability at the same time. Shields are used to block incoming attacks.
When a shield blocks an attack, it will take damage. Blockable attacks include mob melee attacks, thrown items such as snowballs, arrows, damage from Thorns, some explosions and fireballs. Spectral arrows imbues the glowing effect for 10 seconds. The glowing effect creates an outline of the target, which is visible through blocks and colored based on the targets team default is white.
If a bow is enchanted with Infinity, spectral arrows will still be consumed. Melee weapon used to damage mobs, other player or to block attacks. Tipped arrows imbue a status effect when hitting a mob or player. The effect is the same as the regular power effect for the potion. If a bow is enchanted with Infinity, tipped arrows will still be consumed.

Glowstones emits more light than a torch. When mined it will not drop as a block, instead it will break into glowstone dusts. Granite is a type of igneous rock.
